How does Harper Lee present courage in Ch.11?

At the begin of chapter we are introduced to a new character called Ms Dubose. Harper Lee uses this character to show courage throughout the chapter but at first we do not realise. This is because at the beginning of the chapter. Jem and Ms Dubose have a bit of brawl between each other

( find quote)

however during the chapter we are slowly told that Ms Dubose is very ill through the words of Atticus and Jem’s and Scout’s eyes ( page 118 lines 20-29)

And at the end of the chapter we are told that Ms Dubose has died and Harper Lee uses Atticus to summaries Ms Dubose’s live and the idea of courage is not a man with a gun

    Blert,

Please try to avoid paraphrasing – use direct quotations and explore the use of figurative language and how this enhances meaning.

There is lots of rich symbolism in this chapter – please re-read it and then finish this post.
