Create your own version of Snowball’s seven commandments.

THE SEVEN COMMANDMENTS:

1. Whatever being walks upon 2 legs is a friend

2. Whatever being walks on 4 legs or has wings is a enemy

3. Humans ARE NOT to attack one another

4. Humans are allowed to act in self-defense

5. Humans will be a proud species.

6. Humans will not recreate any other animal identities

7. All Humans are equal.

My idea behind the seven commandments:

I have tried to be very brief with my commandments just like in the story so there would be room for arguments. For example, the 3rd and 4th commandment, many would argue what and when exactly would you use self-defense. I thinks this example relate a lot to religion. I am not too sure that George Orwell was relating the seven commandments to religion or democracy or dictatorship  however.

    Hello Blert,

I like that you have realised the strength of Orwell’s commandments relies on the ambiguity created. You have begun to address how this helps to develop conflict in the narrative.

Your final sentence seems to end quite abruptly. Could you clarify your meaning? Is there a missing piece of punctuation?
